Restaurant, Store Robber Gets 17 Years
Benjamin Hugron was sentenced in U.S. District Court yesterday for Penacook robberies in 2013.

A local man was sentenced on robbery and firearm charges in U.S. District Court yesterday in connection with two robberies in Penacook that kept the community on edge for two weeks during the summer of 2013.
Benjamin Hugron, 33, of Concord, received a 17-year sentence on the charges, according to a statement U.S. Attorney John P. Kacavas.
Back on Aug. 8, 2013, Hugron robbed the Asian Taste Restaurant on Village Street in Penacook, flashing a handgun, and getting away with about $300.

A week later, he robbed the Sam’s Convenience Store on Village Street, pointed a gun at an employee, and got away with $400 in cash.
Police released a video of the robbery and received tips on the Concord Regional Crimeline. A few days later, Hugron was arrested and charge.

At the time of the robberies, Kacavas noted in a statement, Hugron was on supervised release for a 2007 federal conviction, also for two robberies that he had committed in New Hampshire.
