Rollover Crash In Concord Sends Driver To The Hospital
Concord police are investigating an accident at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Rum Hill Road on Friday where a man was injured.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a single-vehicle rollover in the West End on Friday.
Around 12:30 a.m., dispatch received reports of an accident on Pleasant Street and Rum Hill Road, with injury, not far from Concord Hospital. Concord firefighters were also sent to the crash. Dispatch said the injured party, a man who was driving the vehicle, seemed disoriented.
The first arriving officer confirmed the man had a head injury and another officer shut down the eastbound lane. The vehicle, a white Mercedes SUV registered to a private company, struck a utility pole before flipping and crashing into the historic steel fence along the Pleasant View Retirement property.

The driver was taken a short distance to Concord Hospital.
The first responding officers requested backup to direct traffic while they gathered evidence including checking out a bottle with a broken seal found inside the vehicle and running a check on a weapon found inside, according to scanner chatter.

Unitil inspected the pole and said it was fine but a firebox attached to the pole was damaged. The fire department was notified about the firebox being inoperable.
