Sununu Recovering from Quadruple Bypass Surgery
Former New Hampshire governor says he feels lucky, expects to be home within the week.

Former Gov. John H. Sununu is recovering in a Boston hospital after a coronary procedure found significant blockage requiring quadruple bypass surgery, according to spokesman Ryan Williams.
Sununu was admitted to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, MA, for the coronary angioplasty procedure last week. During the examination, several arteries were found blocked and required immediate surgery. On Friday, the governor underwent “a successful” quadruple bypass surgery and is “recovering very well from the procedure.”
In a statement, Sununu said, “I feel very lucky. The staff here at St. Elizabeth’s have been wonderful to work with.”
