Say Goodbye to East Side Sidewalks Next Week
Here's an update from the Concord Main Street Project.

Submitted text:
Construction crews have been making some serious headway on North Main St. since reclaiming pavement this past week. Next on the agenda are the east side sidewalks. Beginning Wednesday of next week, crews will work south, beginning at Centre St., and remove sidewalk and curbing material all the way to Pleasant St. by Friday.
Pedestrians will still have full access to all building fronts and typical sidewalk paths as they will be packed and suitable for walking. Pouring of cement for the new sidewalks will begin the first week of May.

Our first real glimpse of the width of the future sidewalks and street will come early in the week. Crews will be paving what will essentially be the northbound travel lane and east side parking zones on Tuesday. Areas left unpaved can be considered the width of your new sidewalks!
