Scattered Outages Reported Around NH

​Update: Wind gusts and heavy rain have knocked out power to nearly 14,000 around the Granite State.

CONCORD, NH — As predicted, Sunday night’s storm has knocked out power to Granite State residents. As of midnight on Oct. 29, 2017, nearly 14, 000 customers around the state were without power, according to reports from Eversource, Unitil, and Liberty Utilities. Eversource reportedly nearly 13,000 without power including nearly 1,200 in Nashua, more than 1,100 in Amherst, more than 1,000 in Rindge, more than 640 in Barnstead, more than 500 in Barrington and Mont Vernon, nearly 500 in Northwood, nearly 400 in Milford, and nearly 300 in Londonderry. Smaller outages, less than 250, were reported in Canterbury, Merrimack, Rochester, Pembroke, Derry, Weare, Bedford, Windham, Loudon, Allenstown, Dunbarton, Brentwood, and Hopkinton.

Unitil has reported more than 600 customers without power in both the capital region and the seacoast. In the Concord area, about 260 customers in Allenstown, Bow, Canterbury, Chichester, Concord, Epsom, and Loudon.

On the seacoast, outages were reported in Exeter, Kingston, Newton, South Hampton, and Stratham.

Restoration for customers is expected sometime before 3 a.m. on Oct. 30, 2017.

Liberty Utilities is reporting more than 530 customers without power mostly in Pelham. Scattered outages were reported in Canaan, Hanover, and Salem.

The heaviest rain began hitting southern New Hampshire at around 9:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
