Why are you seeking elective office?

I want to restore the Register of Probate position to provide the advocacy and customer service functions needed by some of our most vulnerable citizens. New Hampshire is my home; it is truly a special place. I want to work to help keep it special for this generation and the next.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

In 2011 the legislature stripped the Register of Probate of all official duties. At a time when people are facing one of the most difficult challenges of their lives, following the loss of a loved one or close friend, there is no leader or advocate to help them navigate this process. I will work to help pass legislation to restore the functions of this important, constitutionally-mandated position.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am the only candidate who is working to restore the functions this position.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

My two Democratic opponents have both held this position, one for years, but neither has done anything to help restore it to what it once was.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform

While I may be running for the Register of Probate, which deals with none of these issues but so you know more about me, I am working diligently to help preserve the New Hampshire advantage - to help prevent the implementation of a sales or income tax. I support the 2nd Amendment and am a strong educational advocate. As a foster parent, I understand many of the issues facing our most vulnerable citizens - our children - and will fight to help them have the best life possible.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

As Chairman of the Merrimack County GOP I have had the opportunity to meet with numerous members of our legislative delegation and develop relationships with them. My experience in business, education, and as a leader in the public, private, and non-profit sectors have given me a broad perspective to help solve problems.

The best advice ever shared with me was …

If you can't win the election by being honest, then perhaps the election wasn't worth winning.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I see myself as a servant leader. If I have the honor to be elected to this position, I will work hard to see it restored. It's not about the money or prestige, but the ability to help better meet the needs of Merrimack County citizens.
