Six Displaced After Fire in Boscawen
Concord Fire and Rescue teams, Red Cross called to Birch Street to assist.

BOSCAWEN, NH - Six people have been left homeless after a fire in a manufactured home Boscawen this morning.
Fire and rescue teams were sent to Birch Street for a working fire at just before 9 a.m. on Feb. 19, 2016, according to alerts online. Heavy smoke was reported showing from the unit but the fire was quickly brought under control.
Volunteers from the Red Cross Disaster Action Team were also called in to assist the family – four adults and two children – and have ensured that everyone has a safe place to sleep as well as food, clothing, and other essentials, according to Janet Vaughn of the Red Cross.

“Over the next several days, Red Cross client casework volunteers will stay in contact with the family and provide referrals, as they begin their road to recovery,” she noted in a press statement.
The Professional Firefighters of Concord, NH – Local 1045 posted numerous photos on Facebook earlier today, since they were sent to the scene for mutual aid.
