What Was All That Smoke Around Concord’s Merrimack River: What’s Going On In The City?

Smoke was seen billowing in the area of Fort Eddy Road, the mighty Merrimack, and the Everett Arena on Friday morning.

CONCORD, NH — If you were out and about Friday around 10 a.m. and saw smoke around Fort Eddy Road, the Everett Arena, and the Merrimack River, here’s why.

Brush or something was being burned at the Fort Eddy Road Reprocessing Center.

Raymond’s Landscape and Excavation operates the center, which is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The city dumps its leaves and other yard debris there. It is also a recycling site for homeowners and contractors of construction and earth materials.
