Spring Leaf Collection in Concord is Delayed

The City of Concord's Spring Leaf Collection start date has been postponed due to weather conditions.

Spring Leaf Collection for the City of Concord was originally scheduled to begin Monday, April 20, 2015. However, the start date for the program has been delayed due to weather conditions. A new date has not yet been determined, but residents with curbside trash and recycling collection that participate in the Spring Leaf Collection are encouraged to sign up on the City’s website for Notify Me at concordnh.gov/notifyme to be alerted of the new start date. Although most of the snow has now melted, the grounds of sites where the leaves are brought to be recycled are not quite thawed out enough to begin processing leaf piles. Once conditions improve, a new date will be released and Spring Leaf Collection will begin.

During the City of Concord’s Spring Leaf Collection, the City’s contracted solid waste vendor collects unlimited amounts of leaves and grass clippings curbside from residents with trash and recycling collection. Leaves must be in brown biodegradable yard waste bags (not plastic) or in a labeled rigid container for easy collection. Bags and/or containers must be placed curbside by 7 a.m. alongside trash and recyclables.

Visit concordnh.gov/leafcollection for more information and to watch a helpful video about Spring Leaf Collection.
