Downtown Concord Stabbings Suspect Arrested On North State Street: Follow-Up
Update: Concord police and other law enforcement agencies captured the suspect accused of 2 stabbings outside the Hotel Concord Thursday.
CONCORD, NH — Police have arrested a homeless man now located in Concord who investigators believe stabbed two men during an altercation on South Main Street in Downtown Concord on Thursday.
Limited information is available at post time, but around 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, police were sent to a report of a fight outside the Hotel Concord, possibly involving a knife. Dispatch told officers heading to the scene a white man was chasing a Black man while another white man was in the area. The suspect then ran toward Storrs Street.

Dispatch confirmed one man was stabbed and Concord fire and rescue teams were requested to tend to the victim. Later, it was reported that both men were stabbed during the incident. One victim was taken to Concord Hospital later.

Officers, as well as the investigation unit, arrived at the scene and closed South Main Street. Other officers began searching the area around downtown — from the Interstate 393 bridge and The Friendly Kitchen to the Common Man Restaurant on Water Street, including the area around Market Basket on Storrs Street.
A description of the man was given to officers from a security camera in the area — a Black man in a dark blue hoodie with boots, bagging sweatpants, and a facemask. Dispatch also gave the name of a possible suspect based on prior contacts.

Officers began searching the area while requesting the Bow K-9 unit to assist. Guests of the hotel and people in the Storrs Street Garage were ushered out of the area.
As a precaution, Concord High School and the Christa McAuliffe Elementary School were locked down just after 9 a.m.
A little before 10:30 a.m., while in the North End, the suspect was spotted in the area of North State and Washington streets. Other officers and law enforcement agencies assisting Concord converged on the area and the suspect was arrested without incident.
The lockdown of the schools ended around 10:45 a.m.
