Homeless Man Faces 5 Felony Charges Accused Of Stabbing 2 In Downtown Concord: Follow-Up
Victor Manns was accused of stabbing 2 men from New York during an altercation outside the Hotel Concord on South Main Street on Thursday.

CONCORD, NH — A homeless man was arrested and held on preventative detention Thursday after being accused of a knife attack on South Main Street of two out-of-town visitors to the city.
Victor Gareth Manns, 23, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested on two counts of second-degree assault as well as criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, reckless conduct-dangerous weapon, and falsifying physical evidence charges, all felonies, and a breach of bail conditions charge.
Police, around 8:15 a.m., were sent to the area outside of the Hotel Concord for a report of a stabbing.

When they arrived, they spoke with a victim, who stated he and another man were sitting inside a parked car on South Main Street when, “unprovoked,” Deputy Chief John Thomas said, a man in a facemask and hoodie “began banging on the vehicle’s window.” The vehicle, a white Mercedes with New York plates, was parked outside the hotel. The men got out of the car and the suspect began to threaten them with a knife, he said.
“(Manns) proceeded to attack the individuals with the knife,” Thomas said. “Both of the individuals sustained lacerations. After the altercation, the suspect fled the scene.”

Concord fire and rescue teams were requested and one of the two men was taken to Concord Hospital due to the injuries.
Officers began searching the downtown area for the suspect and after about two hours, the suspect was found on North State Street and arrested.
Manns was held on preventative detention and will be arraigned in Merrimack County Superior Court on Sept. 22.
According to posts on Patch, Manns was arrested on simple assault charges in June and August and was out on bail.
