Storm Knocks Out Power To Thousands In Concord, Capital Region
Update: 6K Eversource and Unitil customers are without power; companies expect electricity to be restored between midnight and 3:30 a.m.

CONCORD, NH — A rolling thunderstorm with downpours and heavy winds knocked out power to Concord and the capital region on Tuesday.
At around 6:15 p.m., Unitil reported about 3,500 customers in the region, mostly in Concord, and mostly in the West End, Downtown Concord, and the village of Penacook. Boscawen, Bow, Canterbury, Chichester, Epsom, Loudon, Salisbury, and Webster also reported outages.
By 7:30 p.m., most Unitil customers had their power restored — although about 375 outages lingered.

Unitil expects power to be restored sometime before 3:30 a.m., according to reports online.
Eversource at 5:30 p.m. reported around 5,500 customers without power. More than half the town of Webster and less than half the town of Bradford were without power. Boscawen, Canterbury, Hopkinton, Sutton, Warner, Webster, and communities in the Lakes Region all reported smaller outages.

By 7:30 p.m, it was up to 6,100. Outages lingered in Bradford, Hopkinton, and Webster.
Concord firefighters and police are responding to tree limbs on roads, alarm activations, and street lights that are out.
