Storm Whips Through New Hampshire, Knocks Down Trees: Watch

Power outages were reported in Concord, Bow, Canterbury, and Salisbury while thousands are without power in Manchester, Hooksett, Goffstown.

CONCORD, NH — A short thunderstorm whipped through New Hampshire including Concord and the capital region Thursday knocking out power to around 400 Until customers and another 2,600 Eversource customers around the state.

Around 6:45 p.m., a short storm dumped about 10 minutes of rain in Concord with a few lightning strikes. About 15 minutes, Concord fire dispatch began reporting trees and limbs down around the city.

About 50 Unitil customers lost power in both the southern part of Concord and 23 customers in Salisbury at 7 p.m.

Concord firefighters and police were sent to Ridge Road in the West End to clean up some of the fallen limbs. A firefighter used a chain saw to cut up large branches as neighbors watched.

At 8:45 p.m., Unitil was reporting 266 customers out in Bow, 14 in Concord, and one in Canterbury.

Eversource is reporting outages in Manchester, about 1,600 customers, 330 customers in Hooksett, and more than 220 customers in Goffstown.
