Second annual "Discover Downtown" free Intown Concord event features visual and performing arts, popup artists, and lots of fun.

CONCORD, NH – Summer vacation may be coming to a close, but not summer fun. On Friday and Saturday, Aug. 19, and Aug. 20, 2016, join family, friends, visitors, and fellow shoppers in downtown Concord, to enjoy more than a half-mile of savings, fun, and art with the Discover Downtown 2nd Annual Summer Sidewalk Sale and Art Walk, a FREE community event hosted by Intown Concord.
Guest will find a fun and festive shopping day throughout downtown Concord, including sizzling summer savings and specials at more than 30 downtown businesses, along with an array of pop-up artists, both visual and performing, offering visitors and shoppers entertainment as they stroll beautiful and historic downtown Concord, NH. Everyone will enjoy the new pedestrian-friendly downtown with wide sidewalks and resting areas complete with shade trees, park benches and lots of outside areas to enjoy food and drink. Downtown Concord offers visitors, tourists and shoppers a downtown that is perfect for strolling at their own pace while taking in the beauty of some of downtown's historic buildings, unique and creative retail shops and art galleries, and even just "sitting a while" to enjoy a summer day in beautiful downtown Concord.

Busk-o-rama! ALL DAY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY: Musicians, magicians, artists, and others will be performing and demonstrating their skill throughout the downtown August 19-20! Friday: Jonesey’s Reptiles, Eagle Square, 6 to 8 p.m.; Cinema Under The Stars, FREE screening of "Jurassic Park" in Eagle Square, 8 p.m..; Andrew Lightning with Animals and Shapes, live outdoor music at Bicentennial Sq., 7 to 10 p.m.
