Tractor-Trailer Truck Rollover Reported On I-89 In Warner: Video

Massachusetts trucker injured in NH after losing control near Exit 8 on the southbound side of the Interstate in a crash on Thursday.

WARNER, NH — New Hampshire State Police are investigating a tractor-trailer rollover on Interstate 89 south on Thursday that injured a Massachusetts driver.

State troopers as well as Warner firefighters and Hopkinton EMTs were sent to a crash report at just before 12:45 p.m. The crash was reported just south of the Exit 8 onramp.

Fire command, after arriving a few minutes later, reported the crash was near Mile Marker 17, the driver was out, and there was oil leaking from the truck.

Most of the firefighters cleared the scene around 2:15 p.m. Part of the highway was closed for more than two hours. Traffic was re-routed via the breakdown lane.

According to state police, the driver, Michael Golio, 27, of Methuen, Massachusetts, lost control of the truck after traffic in front of him began to brake, according to Lt. Daniel Baldassarre of Troop D.

“As a result, the tractor-trailer began to brake and move into the left high-speed lane,” he said. “It was during this time when the truck lost control and flipped over onto its left side.”

Golio was taken to Concord Hospital. The truck is owned by VJ Enterprise Inc. of Billerica, MA. Along with troopers and firefighters, the New Hampshire DOT, NHOT Bride Maintenance, The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, Safe Harbors, and Matt Brown's Truck Repair all assisted.
