Travelers Stranded on Cannon Mountain Tramway: Report
UPDATE: Journalist, Concord native reports that 40+ people are stuck on Cannon Mountain earlier today; all are safe at this time.

FRANCONIA, NH - A local journalist who reports on outdoor activities for New Hampshire’s largest television station, is reportedly stuck on two tramways in the White Mountains, according to WMUR-TV.
Paula Tracy, a reporter for the television station and a Concord native, reported at around 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 14, 2016, that more then 40 people – including herself – were stuck on the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway. A second tramway was also reportedly stuck.
Tracy, who puts together the Escape Outside segments for the station, said the passengers included a young child.

Online alerts are reporting that first responders are at the scene attempting to rescue the passengers and find out what the problem is, per a post at 4:30 p.m. The temperature is currently -2 degrees.
According to Cannon Mountain employees, a service brake issue appears to be the problem. Both trams were about 50 feet from their destinations, according to the report.

At just after 5 p.m., all were safely removed from the tramways.
