U.S. Marshals Are Trying To Find An Accused NH Fentanyl Dealer

CONCORD, NH — The U.S. Marshals-New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is asking for the public's help finding an accused fentanyl dealer who has a lengthy criminal history.
Shaina M. Fernandez, 34, is 5 feet, 1 inch tall, and weighs around 145 lbs. She has brown eyes and hair. Fernandez is known to use the alias "Shaina Welch" and also has a tattoo on her left wrist of the name "Curro."
A warrant out of U.S. District Court was issued for Fernandez's arrest on two felony counts of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl and a single count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, according to Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal.

"Fernandez is being sought on an arrest warrant stemming from a federal indictment for multiple charges focused on distributing fentanyl, to include conspiracy," White said. "Fernandez's extensive criminal history is highlighted by multiple dangerous drug charges involving a variety of narcotics."
Fernandez has strong ties to the Manchester area, White added.

Anyone with information about Fernandez or who sees someone who looks like her is asked to contact the task force at 603-225-1632 or your local police department.
According to superior court records, Fernandez has a number of priors.
She was accused of fentanyl possession in Manchester in November 2017 but the charge was later nolle prossed. She was found guilty on a controlled drug: acts prohibited charge in Manchester in August 2018. In June 2020, she was accused of multiple drug charges including four counts of controlled drug: heroin, crack, less than 1 gram; two counts of controlled drug act, possession; and one count of controlled drug: heroin, crack, more than 5 grams. In all four active cases, Fernandez was accused of failing to appear at arraignments on Sept. 17, 2020, and status conferences on Jan. 25.
