CONCORD, NH — The U.S. Marshals-New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force is searching for a man who was accused of failure to appear in court on felony charges involving an assault case.

Jeremy David Michael is 46, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 160 lbs., with hazel eyes and brown hair. He has a few tattoos including a skull on his left shoulder, a leprechaun on his right shoulder, and a black sun on his right shoulder. A warrant for Michael's arrest was issued on Jan. 25 by the Belknap County Sheriff's Department, according to Jeffrey White, a deputy marshal.

"Michael is wanted on an arrest warrant issued out of the Belknap County Superior Court for failing to appear on charges stemming from an altercation in which Michael allegedly repeatedly swung a collapsible metal baton at the victim's head," White said. "Michael has ties to family, friends, and associates in both the Laconia and Tilton NH areas."
