Fourteen students participated in the Poetry Out Loud National Recitation Contest with senior Nick Muccio winning the school’s competition.
Muccio recited “What You Have to Get Over,” by Dick Allen. He will represent the high school at the state semi-finals on March 9, at . In New Hampshire, 37 high schools are participating this year.
Senior Paul Goudarzi-Fry recited "Ode on the Death of a Favourite Cat Drowned in a Tub of Goldfishes," by Thomas Gray. Senior Larysa Kucman played Celtic fiddle in between recitations. Jamie Staton, a sportscaster from WMUR-TV Channel 9, emceed.
