​Walker Retires from Merrimack County Savings Bank​

The senior vice president, commercial and construction loan officer spent 19 years with the bank.

CONCORD, NH — Claudia Walker, the senior vice president, commercial and construction loan officer for Merrimack County Savings Bank (the Merrimack) retired on Dec. 23, 2016. Walker, who recently celebrated 19 years with the Merrimack, was also named 2016’s Business Leader of the Year at the Greater Concord Chamber’s Pinnacle Awards, according to a press statement.

A premier commercial lender, Walker developed the bank’s signature construction-to-permanent lending program.

“Claudia has been nothing short of exceptional throughout her time at Merrimack County Savings Bank,” said Ed Caron, Executive Vice President, and Commercial Loan Officer. “Claudia has always demonstrated the perfect balance of strong leadership and impenetrable grace. The Merrimack has been very fortunate to have her these last 19 years. She has been a wonderful friend and colleague.”

Walker was one of the original co-chairs of the Rock n Race event planning committee in 2002 to benefit Concord Hospital’s Payson Center for Cancer Care. Now known as the Merrimack County Savings Bank Rock ‘N Race, the 5K race has raised more than $4 million and brings the community together each year to celebrate, honor and remember loved ones touched by cancer.

Walker serves as a member of Concord Hospital's Board of Trustees as well as the Concord Hospital Trust Board, of she is the immediate past Chair. She has also served several roles in numerous community organizations including: board member for Concord’s Chamber of Commerce, steering committee member for the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness, member of the Economic Development Advisory Committee, member of the Municipal Housing Commission and member of the Concord Planning Board. Walker has been with the Merrimack since 1997.
