Washington State Child Murder Suspect Arrested In New Hampshire: U.S. Marshals
Demiko Fox, an athlete with "violent behavior," was captured Wednesday in Bow Junction, accused of killing a girl in his care in April.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force and Bow police arrested a child murder suspect from Washington state on Wednesday morning.
Demiko A. Fox, 22, was arrested at an establishment near Bow Junction on a warrant out of King County Superior Court in Kirkland, Washington, accused of killing a 7-year-old girl earlier this year, Andrew Grillo, a deputy U.S. Marshal, said. The case involved a child who was brought to a hospital with no pulse and “obvious signs of abuse” in early April, a report stated.
“The child-victim was stabilized, but due to an acute traumatic brain injury, she was transferred to a Seattle trauma center and was placed on a ventilator,” Grill said, adding, she died six days later.

A medical examiner “only recently” ruled the cause of death a homicide, he said.
Fox, who is originally from Seattle, WA, and is a former athlete at a college in the state, was taking care of the girl at the time of her death, according to investigators.

While working with the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, Fox was found in Bow, living in a temporary residence, a statement said. According to scanner chatter, a “Signal 1,000” alert was issued on all radio traffic, with Bow police and marshals stationed at various areas around Bow Junction before capturing and arresting Fox.
Grillo said the investigation was ongoing, saying Fox had “a history of violent behavior” but was detained and processed without incident. He is being held without bail at the county jail.
Bow Police Chief Ken Miller said the collective efforts of all involved ensured a smooth and incident-free operation — “and we appreciate their dedication to upholding justice.” He added, “We are grateful for the outstanding collaboration that led to the successful arrest, which would not have been possible without the exceptional teamwork and coordination between the U.S. Marshals and the Kirkland Washington Police detectives.”
The suspect will be arraigned in Concord District Court on Thursday as a fugitive from justice.
