Welfare Fraudster Fugitive Nabbed Walking Downtown
U.S. Marshals arrest Ashley Dupont Lafoe after receiving "several tips"; she was also wanted on meth, false report, and another charge.

CONCORD, NH — Tips from the New Hampshire Fugitive of the Week media post last week led to the capture of a woman previously convicted of welfare fraud who was wanted on alleged parole violations and another ongoing investigation, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Ashley Dupont Lafoe, 34, was arrested on Dec. 8, 2016, on warrants.

According to a press statement from the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, Lafoe was wanted on a warrant issued by the state parole board in late October for violation of conditional release after being convicted of welfare fraud. Officials later learned that Lafoe was also wanted for an ongoing investigation by the Concord Police Department, including allegations of possession of methamphetamine, unsworn falsification and false report to law enforcement, according to the statement.

After Lafoe was featured as the Fugitive of the Week last week, Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White noted that “several tips” were submitted alleging that she was in Concord. Marshals, however, were not given a fixed address of where she might be, so the task force concentrated its efforts on the downtown areas of the city.
“As a result of these efforts, Dupont Lafoe was located and arrested when she was seen walking on Spring Street in Concord,” White noted. “Dupont Lafoe was turned over to the Concord Police Department for processing and holding on the outstanding parole violation. Additionally, Concord Police Department filed additional charges against Dupont Lafoe regarding another ongoing investigation.”
