• Cannon Mountain's Aerial Tramway Replacement Bids Come In Well Over Budget (unofficialnetworks.com) — Cannon Mountain's long-awaited aerial tramway replacement in Franconia is facing a major budget gap after contractor bids came in more than $10 million over projections, forcing state officials to hunt for extra funding and consider cost cuts. The state-run ski area is also searching for a new general manager, while fall operations at Franconia Notch State Park will continue without the tram but with the base lodge open.
