• Mount Monadnock Hiker Airlifted by New Hampshire Army National Guard Helicopter (nhfishgame.com) — A hiker suffered a serious medical emergency on Mount Monadnock in Jaffrey and was airlifted by a New Hampshire Army National Guard helicopter to a Manchester hospital after rescuers reached and stabilized him. Local park staff, volunteer responders, and Fish and Game officers coordinated the response, and officials are reminding hikers to prepare carefully and consider supporting search-and-rescue efforts with a Hike Safe card. 
• Fourteen 911 Calls Help Troopers Stop Driver Accused of Going More Than 100 MPH (themainewire.com) — A 22-year-old Jaffrey resident has been charged in Maine after fourteen motorists called 911 about a car reportedly topping 100 mph and driving erratically on I-295 and I-95. Troopers stopped the vehicle in Waterville and, after a roadside investigation, filed criminal operating under the influence and criminal speed charges; no crashes or injuries were reported, and the driver is presumed innocent.
