Travis Demers of Manchester, who was convicted of violation of privacy in 2020 after several incidents, faces 2 duty to inform charges.

MANCHESTER, NH — A man from Manchester who was convicted on violation of privacy charges in 2020 now faces new charges after being accused of failing to register with the police.
Travis Demers, 24, of Manchester, was convicted after seven incidents at stores around the Queen City, including the Mall of New Hampshire, Savers in Manchester, and Hannaford Supermarket, between July and October 2019. He was also accused of falsifying physical evidence, a felony. He pleaded guilty to four misdemeanor violation of privacy charges in October 2020. And is now required to register as a sex offender with the police.
Police in Manchester, Heather Hamel, a public information officer for the police department, “recently learned that Demers had moved and also gotten a new vehicle, but did not report the changes within the allotted time frame.”

As a Tier 1 sex offender, Demers is required to register with police on a semi-annual basis and inform them of any changes to his name, address, employment, schooling, or other required information that must be reported within five business days of the change, she said.
Demers was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two felony duty to inform charges. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is due back in Hillsborough County Superior Court North on July 8.

In May 2019, he filed a civil complaint against Crescent Restaurant Group LLC, South Willow Street Series, a Bedford company that owns at least one McDonald’s Restaurant in the area. A settlement was letter reached in August 2020.
Demers was also accused of robbery, drug possession, and simple assault in Concord in January 2018. After charges were vacated and reinstated, he agreed to plead guilty to a single simple assault charge in January 2021.
