Cops: After Crash, Amherst Man Fled, Hid from Police
Merrimack Police: Ryan Haggerty faces numerous charges.

A crash yesterday morning on McQuestion Road led to a local man being arrested on numerous driving charges, according to police.
Ryan D. Haggerty, 29, of Milford Street in Amherst, was arrested on June 4, 2015, and charged with operating after suspension, operating without proof of financial responsibility, resisting arrest, and conduct after an accident.

According to Lt. Matthew Tarleton of the Merrimack Police Department, officers were sent to McQuestion Road and Linda Way for a crash at around 6:15 a.m. When they arrived, they observed an extensively damaged motor vehicle that had gone off the roadway and collided with a tree.
“At the time, the driver of the vehicle could not be located,” he noted.

After searching the area extensively, the driver, Haggerty, was located near an athletic field “attempting to elude police by concealing himself behind an equipment shed,” according to the report. He was arrested after police learned he had a suspended license.
Haggerty was released on personal recognizance bail and then ordered to appear in court.
According to online reports, Haggery, while living in Nashua, was stopped while driving the wrong way on Cedar Street in June 2012. Police allegedly found him in possession of oxycodone and was charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute. In October 2012, he was one of three people arrested on drug charges including conspiracy to commit unlawful sale of a narcotic drug, oxycodone hydrochloride, according to a post on Nashua Patch.
