Merrimack Man Charged With Lying To Police About Theft
Merrimack police said Paul Wheeler, 38, made a false statement to police about items stolen from his home last month.

MERRIMACK, NH — A Merrimack man has been charged with making a false report to police after Merrimack police determined he lied about having items stolen from his home. Paul Wheeler, 38, was arrested on Nov. 5 for the report he made six weeks ago.
Merrimack police said Wheeler reported the items stolen from his home on Oct. 1. An investigation determined that the items had not been stolen, and that Wheeler had filed the false report. Merrimack police were granted a warrant for Wheeler's arrest.
Last month, Wheeler was arrested on a domestic violence charge following an incident at The Residences at Daniel Webster Highway when he was accused of refusing to let a male victim leave the residence. Merrimack police in that case charged Wheeler with one count of domestic violence criminal restraint.
