Milford Man Arrested for Theft in Merrimack

​Cops: Nathan Curran, a man with a history of theft charges, allegedly voided customer transactions at a local business, pocketed the money.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man was arrested today after an investigation reportedly revealed voided customer transactions dating back to late 2016, according to police. Nathan Curran, 29, of Amherst Street in Milford, was arrested on March 27, 2017, for theft by unauthorized taking.

Earlier this month, according to Sgt. Gregory Walters of the Merrimack Police Department, an officer was called to a local business for a report of a possible fraud incident.

“During the investigation it was discovered that Curran voided customer transaction and pocketed the money that was owed to the business,” Walters alleged. “There were 14 different voided transactions that were done from Dec. 3, 2016, to March 5, 2017.”

A warrant was issued for Curran’s arrest and he was arrested by Milford Police today. He was transported to Merrimack, processed, and released. Curran is due in court on May 4.

According to reports on New Hampshire Patch sites, Curran has previously been arrested a number of times including assault charges last September in Milford. In March, 2014, he was arrested for in Amherst for theft by deception and theft by unauthorized taking. Curran was arrested on a theft by deception charge in August 2013, in Amherst. He was also arrested for willful concealment in Amherst in May 2012. In December 2011, Curran was arrested on a warrant in Amherst.
