Nashua Man Grabs Cash Register Cash at Shaw’s: Cops
Merrimack Police reported that while standing in line to buy soup, Tyler Bott allegedly reached over, grabbed a wad of cash, and fled.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man is in court next week after allegedly stealing cash from Shaw’s Supermarket in Merrimack and fleeing the scene, according to police. Tyler Bott, 22, of Chestnut Street in Nashua, was arrested on March 10, 2017, for theft by unauthorized taking.

Back on Feb. 2, according to William Gudzinowicz of the Merrimack Police Department, officers were sent to the Shaw’s on the Daniel Webster Highway for a report of a theft.

“The complainant told officers that a man was in line at the register waiting to purchase soup, and when the cashier opened the register the man reached across and grabbed a handful of cash and ran out of the store,” he alleged. “After further investigation, Tyler Bott, was identified as the suspect, and a warrant/affidavit was drafted for his arrest.”
Gudzinowicz said $140 was stolen from the store, according to the report.

Bott was arrested last month, processed, and was released on personal recognizance bail. He was arraigned on March 13, and is due back in court on April 15, according to police.
According to reports on Merrimack and Milford NH Patch, Bott is no stranger to police.
In December 2016, he was arrested in Milford, for possession of a controlled drug-marijuana and a bench warrant. Last year, he was indicted for receiving stolen property and forgery after an incident in Milford in July 2016. He was also indicted for felony possession of a narcotic drug-heroin, after an alleged incident on Aug. 19, 2015, in Nashua.
