Teen Arrested on Drug, Driving Suspension Charges
Merrimack Police arrested Emma Klapka after a traffic stop at the Daniel Webster Highway.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local teen was arrested yesterday on charges after a traffic stop in town, according to police. Emma Klapka, 18, of Scituate Place in Merrimack, was arrested on Nov. 6, 2016, for operating after suspension, second offense, and possession of a controlled drug-marijuana.

According to police, an officer made a traffic stop on the Daniel Webster Highway on Sunday after reportedly witnessing a motor vehicle violation.

“The officer conducted an investigation to include a records check which showed that the operator, Emma Klapka, was operating the vehicle with suspend license,” according to Sgt. Eric Marquis of the Merrimack Police Department. “Klapka was subsequently placed under arrest.”
During an inventory search of her vehicle, police allegedly found marijuana, according to a report, and that charge was added. Klapka was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Dec. 15.

Back in March 2015, Klapka was arrested in Amherst and charged with driving after suspension, transportation of a controlled drug and possession of a controlled drug, according to posts on Patch.
