6 Rounded Up During ‘Substance Abuse Reduction Initiative’ In Nashua, Police Say

NASHUA, NH — Six people were arrested last month on drug charges as part of a “substance abuse reduction initiative” in the Gate City, according to police.

Between May 22 and May 25, members of the Nashua Police Department’s Narcotics Intelligence Division and Problem-Oriented Policing Unit arrested the men and women “for various drug crimes, crimes frequently associated with criminal behavior related to drug activity and other criminal offenses,” Sgt. John Cinelli, the public information officer and communications division supervisor for the Nashua Police Department, said.

Melissa Dimond, 39, was arrested on two felony counts of possession of a controlled drug-subsequent.

Carolyn Gallaher, 29, was arrested on two felony counts of possession of a controlled drug.

Michelle Laroche, 51, was arrested on a felony count of possession of a controlled drug-subsequent.

Adam Larose, 43, was arrested on a felony count of possession of a controlled drug-subsequent.

Richard Morales, 39, was arrested on a felony count of possession of a controlled drug-subsequent.

Ryan Rutstein, 24, was arrested on a felony count of possession of a controlled drug-subsequent.

Dimond, Gallaher, Morales, and Rutstein were held on preventative detention, while Laroche was held. Larose and Rutstein were released on personal recognizance.

Cinelli said residents were urged to contact the Narcotics Hotline at 603-594-3397 to report illegal drug activity. NashuaPD.com, the department’s website, can also be utilized. Anyone with information about these cases was asked to contact 603-589-1665.
