Accused Nashua Country Club Shooter Indicted On Murder, Other Charges, NH DOJ Says: Follow-Up

CONCORD, NH — The suspect in the Sky Meadow Country Club mass shooting incident in September 2025 has been indicted, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.

Hunter Nadeau, 24, was indicted on Thursday on first-degree murder, second-degree murder, three attempted murder, and two first-degree assault charges, all felonies. He is accused of killing Robert Steven DeCesare, 59, of Nashua, and wounding others at the country club in September 2025.

According to witness info gathered at the scene by Patch, radio traffic, and television stations, Nadeau was accused of entering the country club and opening fire on diners eating at Prime, a steakhouse restaurant at the facility.

One witness stated it seemed Nadeau was targeting one specific person at the eatery. Several people were injured in the ensuing chaos, but not by gunfire. One man was reportedly shot in the face.

Witnesses also claimed Nadeau yelled, “Free Palestine,” at some point during the incident, with one adding he also said, “The children are safe.” One man also reportedly attacked Nadeau with a chair.

A wedding was being held at the facility at the same time as the shooting. Dozens of people were evacuated from the scene, while others were held in lockdown at the facility.

Nadeau was captured on the grounds of the country club, not long after the shooting. DeCasare was reportedly having dinner with his wife and daughter, who is slated to get married a few weeks later.

Nadeau is due back in Hillsborough County Superior Court South for arraignment and a bail hearing on Feb. 6.
