Alleged Crack Cocaine, Heroin Dealers Arrested

In all, Nashua Police make four arrests in November.

On Nov. 3, members of the Nashua Police Department’s Problem Orientated Policing (POP) Unit arrested Manuel Rodriguez, pictured right, 22, of Walnut Street in Nashua, on an active warrant for distributing narcotics throughout the City of Nashua.

The warrant was the result of an investigation that was conducted by the Nashua Police Department’s Narcotics Intelligence Division into the illegal distribution of Crack Cocaine and Heroin within the City of Nashua.

Rodriguez was charged with three Felony level counts of Sale of Narcotic Drug (Crack Cocaine), one Felony level count of Sale of Narcotic Drug (Heroin), one Felony level count of Criminal Liability for the Conduct of Another, the conduct being Sale of Narcotic Drug, and six Misdemeanor level counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child or Incompetent.

When Rodriguez was arrested, he was found to be in possession of quantities of both Crack Cocaine and Heroin. The quantities of Crack Cocaine and Heroin were packaged for sale and were found to each weigh in excess of 5 grams respectfully. The manner in which they were packaged coupled with their weights resulted in Rodriguez being charged with two additional Felony level counts of Possession of Narcotic Drug, Crack Cocaine and Heroin, With the Intent to Distribute, Enhanced Penalty. These charges become enhanced penalties due to the weight of the drugs. The penalty is punishable up to 15-30 years imprisonment inclusive of a fine of up to $500,000.00 for each charge.

Two juvenile males were also arrested by the POP Unit on Nov. 3, as a result of this investigation.

Both juvenile males were charged with multiple Felony level counts of Sale of Narcotic Drug (Crack Cocaine and Heroin). As this investigation progressed, information was developed which indicated that the juvenile males had illegally distributed narcotics throughout the City of Nashua at the direction and under the employment of Rodriguez. As a result of this information, Rodriguez was charged with a Felony level count of Drug Enterprise Leader. The penalty for Drug Enterprise Leader shall be sentenced to a mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of not less than 25 years and may be sentenced to a maximum term of not more than life imprisonment. The court may also impose a fine not to exceed $500,000.00 or 5 times the street value of the controlled drug or controlled drug analog involved, whichever is greater.

On Nov. 18, a probable cause hearing for Rodriguez was held at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court. The hearing resulted in probable cause being found for Rodriguez’ charges. Rodriguez’ bail was set at $75,000 cash and he was transported to the Hillsborough County House of Correction in Manchester.

On Nov. 19, Uniform Patrol made a fourth arrest as a result of this investigation.

Jairo Rodriguez, pictured left, 17, of Eighth Street, Nashua, was arrested on an active warrant and was charged with three Felony level counts of Sale of Narcotic Drug, Crack Cocaine, and one Felony level count of Sale of Narcotic Drug, Heroin. Jairo Rodriguez’ bail was set at $100,000. Rodriguez was arraigned in 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on November 20, 2014.
