Felon Caught with Weapon, Again

Gregory Isabelle is charged with firing a shotgun outside his home. Last July, he was caught with a knife.

Gregory Isabelle, 28, of 13 Shawn Ave., Nashua, was arrested Feb. 2, after police say he got into an argument with someone and fired a shotgun outside his home, endangering the community.

It's not the first time Isabelle, a convicted felon, has been charged for illegally possessing a weapon.

He was formally charged with three counts of reckless conduct, a class B felony; and convicted felons, a class B felony for the Feb. 2 incident.

In July of 2012 Isabelle was charged for having a switchblade, after police found him pushing his broken-down car along the road.

The new charges are related to a February 2, 2013 incident when, at approximately 12:58 a.m., officers responded to his address on Shawn Avenue after a call for possible shots being fired. Isabelle was located outside his home and arrested.

The incident was further investigated by detectives with the Criminal
Investigation Division leading to the charge of recklessly firing a shotgun three
times in a residential area, conduct police sayd exposed other residents to danger.

No one was injured in the incident, and the shotgun involved was recovered.

A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive
of fines. Isabelle was being held on $7,500.00 cash or surety bail pending an
upcoming arraignment in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on
February 4, 2013.
