MANCHESTER, NH — A New Hampshire felon, with previous felony convictions, is in more trouble after allegedly attempting to steal from a furniture truck in Manchester yesterday, according to police. Calvin Degreenia, 32, of no known address but previously of Nashua, was arrested on March 20, 2018, for burglary, theft, and convicted felon. At around 5 p.m., officers were called to Beech Street for a report of an attempted theft, according to Lt. Paul Thompson of the Manchester Police Department.

When they arrived, they spoke with a delivery truck driver from Bob’s Furniture who detained Degreenia after he allegedly attempted to steal items from his truck.

“Degreenia admitted to the attempted theft and was taken into custody,” Thompson alleged. “During the search incident to arrest, a Taser was discovered on Degreenia, who is a convicted felon and unauthorized to possess an electronic defense weapon.”

The reporting officers also recognized Degreenia from another case they were working on – a burglary at Mint Bistro on Elm Street.

“After completing the booking process, Degreenia agreed to speak with detectives regarding the burglary,” Thompson added. “Degreenia confessed to the burglary during the interview.”

Degreenia is no stranger to police in New Hampshire, according to previous posts on Patch. Back in September 2013, he was arrested for allegedly burglarizing Fody’s Tavern in Nashua. A few weeks later, police fingered him for a “downtown burglary spree,” including at least eight out of 23 commercial burglaries reported in Nashua between early August 2013, and his arrest. About three years later, Degreenia was caught allegedly trying to burglarize another downtown business but thanks to a Good Samaritan, the effort was thwarted and Degreenia bagged. He was charged with hitting other businesses that same evening though.
