NASHUA, NH — A man from Nashua is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday after being accused of raping a family member inside his apartment in late November 2025.

Around 12:15 a.m. on Nov. 21, 2025, police were sent to Ledge Street for a report of disorderly conduct. When officers arrived, they were told a domestic incident may have occurred and encountered a shirtless man seen walking into a nearby apartment.

Police spoke to a witness who reported when they arrived home earlier, the front door was locked and the lights were turned off inside the apartment. The witness called a family member for assistance to be let into the apartment.

Both the man and the woman tried to get into the apartment but were unable to. They then looked inside a living room window and were shocked to see Amilcar Alfredo Solis Sr., 49, of Ledge Street in Nashua, “completely naked, kneeling in front of (a woman), with his penis exposed,” an affidavit said. The witnesses said it appeared Solis had sexually assaulted the woman who was unconscious on the floor.

The witnesses began banging on the window, prompting Solis to move away from the victim and then get dressed, an affidavit said. The woman, however, was still on the floor, a report said.

Solis reportedly let one of the witnesses into the apartment, and police arrived later, a report stated. The victim, one officer said, appeared “visibly intoxicated,” and was unable to speak or move. She was taken to the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center for treatment.

Solis was arrested on a sexual contact-domestic violence misdemeanor charge, based on the woman not being conscious and the witness statements, a report said.

Detectives interviewed the witnesses, and one said they took a picture of Solis, but were not sure a rape occurred. They both corroborated previous statements made to the first-arriving officers. One also stated there was a half-full bottle of whiskey with multiple shot glasses scattered throughout the room, a report said. They both confirmed the woman was not conscious or woozy, often telling them, “Shh,” when they tried to help her. They dressed her and brought her to another room, the report stated.

One of the detectives attempted to interview Solis after being Mirandized, but he refused. The detective accused him of slurring his words and smelling of alcohol.

A search warrant was requested and granted for the apartment, and Solis was later that morning.

At the hospital, the victim was examined, and trauma was observed, according to a report. Later, she was interviewed and said she agreed to drink whiskey with Solis but did not know what happened to her between drinking the alcohol and waking up in the hospital, an affidavit said. The victim denied having sex with anyone for around two years, the report stated.

Solis, during a second interview and the issuing of warrants, said it was possible, but he did not remember having sex with the woman, an affidavit stated. When presented with the photos taken by a witness, he confirmed it was him in the picture but could not recall what happened, the detective wrote. Solis was taken to the hospital for a suspect sexual assault examination, according to the affidavit.

At the completion of the investigation, Solis was charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault-domestic violence.

Solis’ case was boundover on Dec. 5, 2025, and he was held on preventative detention. He is due back in court on Wednesday for an arraignment and bail hearing.
