Man Pushing Car Charged for Packing Switchblade
Because of a prior felony conviction, Gregory Isabelle was not allowed to be in possession of a knife.

A man spotted pushing his broke-down car along the road was charged for carrying a knife in his pocket, after police stopped to help.
A records check showed Gregory Isabelle, 28, of 13 Shawn Ave., Nashua, had a an active bench warrant out of Milford. He also was a convicted felon, which prohibits him from being in possession of a weapon of any kind.
According to a police narraitve, on July 6, 2012 at approximately 9:40 a.m., patrol officers responded to the area of New Dunstable Road at Gaffney Street in reference to a man pushing a disabled vehicle down the road. Upon arrival officers made contact with Isabelle. A records check confirmed Isabelle had an active bench warrant out of Milford District Court. When arrested, he was found to be in possession of a switchblade knife. Because Isabelle has a prior felony conviction it is a criminal offense for him to possess such a knife.

Isabelle was charged with convicted felons, a class B felony; and an electronic bench warrant for non-payment of fines.
The class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. Isabelle was being held at the Nashua Police Department on $2,000 cash or surety bail for the felony charge pending arraignment in the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court; and $695 cash only to settle the bench warrant.
