Milford Man Indicted On Rape, Strangulation Charges: Court Roundup
Stalker indicted on 10 new Nashua counts; Mass. woman accused of strangulation in Brookline; Hudson man indicted on hammer threat charge.

NASHUA, NH — The following people have been indicted before a Hillsborough County Superior Court South grand jury.
Michael Makena, 31, of West Street in Milford on second-degree assault-domestic violence and three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, all felonies. He was accused of strangling, slapping and then sexually assaulting, and slapping and then raping, an intimate partner on June 20 in Milford.
Walter C. Nichols, 60, of Union Street in Manchester on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-cocaine charge on April 13 in Nashua.

Derek Nason, 36, of North Road in Brentwood on 10 felony stalking-domestic violence charges. He was accused of communicating with an intimate partner, in violation of a bail order, in Nashua on May 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13, by telephone. Nason was previously convicted on stalking in October 2022.
Lawrence Pelkey, 58, of Poor Farm Road in New Ipswich on two felony second-degree assault charges. He was accused of striking another person in the head causing two facial fractures on May 7 in New Ipswich.

Jason Peloquin, 45, of no fixed address in Nashua on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-fentanyl charge on June 2 in Nashua. Previously, he has been convicted of acts prohibited in Hillsborough County Superior Court South in November 2021.
Rachel Sawyer, 35, of North End Road in Townsend, Massachusetts, on two second-degree assault and three reckless conduct charges, all felonies. She was accused of strangling an intimate partner, driving at him three times, and striking him with a motor vehicle on May 23 in Brookline.
Matthew Sayahi, 32, of Central Street in Hudson on domestic violence and reckless conduct charges, both felonies. He was accused of threatening an intimate partner with a hammer, saying, “I’m going to bash your head in with this,” or words to that effect and driving into her vehicle on June 20 in Hudson.
Randy Scanlon, 47, of Tyler Street in Nashua on two felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited, fentanyl and methamphetamine, on April 13 in Nashua.
