Motorcyclist Medflighted in Local Crash

A local motorcyclist crashed into a utility pole Saturday night, police said.

HUDSON, NH — A motorcyclist was seriously hurt Saturday night after police said he crashed into a utility pole in Hudson Saturday night.

Kevin Meaney, 56, of Hudson, was medflighted with life-threatening injuries.

Police said he crashed on Robinson Road at about 8:20 p.m. Meaney was driving a 2012 Harley-Davidson when he left the roadway, hit the pole, then came to rest in a wooded area. He was not wearing a helmet, police said.

Firefighters transported him to the Hills House, where a medical helicopter picked him up and transported him to Massachusetts General Hospital.

Police said they’re investigating why Meaney left the road.
