Nashua Felon Arrested On Gun Possession Charge
Ryan Coleman was accused of denying he possessed the gun until cops found a revolver under a mattress in an apartment, a report stated.

NASHUA, NH — A felon in Nashua faces a gun possession charge after a domestic incident on Tyler Street in late January, according to police and court documents.
Around 8 p.m. on Jan. 22, police were sent to an apartment for a report of a domestic. A complainant told police a woman was accusing Ryan Coleman, 41, of an unknown address in Nashua, of being inside her apartment while possessing a gun and wielding it. Police met with the woman and she claimed he had “consumed alcohol” earlier and “began saying strange things” before pulling out the gun, an affidavit said. She described the weapon as “silver and older,” police said, and denied any other criminal issues that evening.
Police received permission to search the apartment while other officers spoke with Coleman who denied possessing a gun, the report said, since he was “not allowed” to own them. An officer confirmed Coleman was a felon due to a domestic violence-criminal threatening conviction in January 2022 in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.

Officers searched the apartment and found an older model, silver Iver Johnson revolver, under a mattress in a bedroom, an affidavit said. The officer verified the revolver was a functioning firearm, the report stated.
“Ryan initially denied any knowledge of the firearm,” a detective wrote, “but later acknowledged to (an) officer that the firearm within the apartment belonged to (a family member). He explained that his intention was to sell the firearm in the coming days.”
