Nashua Man Accused Of Rape, Second-Degree Assault, And Stalking
Jency Diaz was arrested after being accused of repeatedly assaulting a woman Saturday on Walnut Street after being arrested 3 hours before.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man has been arrested and accused of brutally assaulting and raping a woman on Walnut Street on Saturday, according to police and court documents.
Around 1 a.m., an officer was sent to an apartment on Walnut Street after a woman reported an assault. The woman said Jency Diaz, 28, of Nashua, had assaulted her and thrown her cellphone against a wall, according to a police report. Diaz was arrested by police on simple assault, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest or detention charges.
About three hours later, he was released from police custody with bail conditions requiring him to stay away from the victim.

But about 90 minutes later, police received a call from a relative of the woman reporting that she went to check on the victim and found that she had been assaulted and raped.
Police arrived and found the victim "covered in bruises and welts" that were not there a few hours earlier. They secured the apartment as a crime scene and interviewed the victim who stated she received phone calls from an unknown number and when she picked up, "it was Diaz," the report said. A short while later, he was at the apartment, broke in through the front door, and she attempted to call police on her cellphone. Diaz was accused of grabbing her phone, throwing it against the wall — causing more damage, and grabbing her by the hair and dragging her into a bedroom. During the attack, the victim accused Diaz of punching, slapping, and whipping her with a belt repeatedly and head-butting her at least once, and then sexually assaulting her.

When the attack ended, the affidavit stated Diaz began to cry and fled out a window after the relative arrived.
The woman was taken to the hospital where it was confirmed she had a nasal bone fracture, a report said.
A warrant was requested to search the apartment, a crime scene investigation was conducted, and an arrest warrant issued against Diaz.
Diaz was arrested around 1 p.m.
During an interview, an affidavit stated he waived his Miranda Rights and admitted to the rape and assaults. Diaz said he consumed Xanax and alcohol "which caused him to be a different person and was apologetic for his actions," the report said.
Diaz was charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault-domestic violence and second-degree assault-domestic violence charges as well as two criminal mischief counts, simple assault, stalking-domestic violence, and breach of bail charges.
A relative of Diaz's also told police that she picked him up and he used her phone to call and text the victim more than 20 times during a six-minute time period before 4 a.m., the report stated.
Previously, according to superior court records, Diaz was convicted on an acts prohibited drug charge in November 2013. In April 2015, his sentence was amended. Diaz has a number of other cases in court but specific information about the cases were not available at post time. According to previous posts on Patch, he was arrested in Portsmouth in January 2016 on a warrant and driving charge, in Milford on a violation of a protective order charge after police were called to an address for a report of shots fired in January 2017, and in September 2018 in Nashua on an assault charge.
