Man Arrested Twice in 10 Hours for Assault, Stalking: Log
Portsmouth Police: Juvenile charged with truancy, teen arrested for drugs, and others arrested on bench warrants.

PORTSMOUTH, NH - A 12-year-old juvenile was arrested at 9:17 a.m. on Jan. 11, 2016, on a CHINS petition; truancy. Police were sent to Sagamore Avenue to check on the wellbeing of a child that didn’t show up for school. An officer then transferred the girl to school.

Daymond Weymouth, 18, of Wedgewood Road in Portsmouth, was arrested at 12:53 p.m. on Jan. 11, 2016, for possession of drugs in a motor vehicle. He turned himself in on a warrant.

John E. Luce, 58, of an unknown address in Portsmouth, was arrested at 8:58 p.m. on Jan. 11, 2016, on a bench warrant. Police were sent to Gosling Road for a wanted man who was seen in the area of the Motel 6. An officer checked the area and some of the rooms, located the man, and arrested him.
Michael K. Simonds, 41, of Ledgewood Drive on Portsmouth, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. on Jan. 11, 2016, for domestic violence-simple assault and resisting arrest or detention. At 9:14 a.m. on Jan. 12, 2016, he was arrested again for stalking, simple assault, and default or breach of bail conditions. Officers were sent to Ledgewood Drive after a caller requested that the go to the home to check on a woman. “The female sent a pic to her friend in Mass. of her face all bloody,” according to the report, “her boyfriend has abused her in the past.” Simonds was reportedly on probation and was arrested. Later, in a cell, Simonds was Tased twice, according to police. The next day, Simonds was arrested again, transported to the emergency room, and held.

Michael L. Terrell, 58, of Portsmouth, was arrested at 6:26 p.m. on Jan. 12, 2016, for simple assault. He turned himself in on a warrant.
Jency Diaz, 23, of Taylor Street in Nashua, was arrested at 12:34 a.m. on Jan. 13, 2016, for driving after revocation or suspension and a bench warrant. He was arrested after a traffic stop on Rotary Circle.
