Nashua Standoff Suspect Shoots at Officers, Surrenders: Police
A armed Nashua man was arrested following a standoff on March Street last night; police said he shot near officers.

NASHUA, NH — An armed Nashua man was arrested Monday night after a standoff on March Street.
David Ouellette, 41, of 16 March St., was charged with a host of crimes.
Police said the incident started when officers attempted to serve him with a restraining order at his residence at about 6:20 p.m. The order was issued after Ouellette allegedly beat a woman.

Upon arriving at Ouellette's home, officers said they learned he was armed and called for backup; a few minutes later, they heard Ouellette fire gunshots from inside the home. More officers arrived; Ouellette continued shooting, police said.
"Some of the rounds discharged within the residence were fired in the direction of a nearby, occupied residence and in the vicinity of patrol officers who were on perimeter positions," Lt. Kerry Baxter said in a statement.

No one was hurt in the incident, police said.
Ouellette was charged with domestic violence, reckless conduct, and criminal mischief. His bail was set at $50,000 pending an arraignment.
