Nashua Woman Accused Of Attacking Man With Scissors: Police
Puja Malaviya will be in superior court Tuesday for arraignment on felony second-degree assault, other charges after an incident Saturday.

NASHUA, NH — A Gate City woman is scheduled to be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court South Tuesday after being accused of domestic violence and other charges.
Officers were called to a home in the city after receiving a report that Puja Malaviya, 29, of Tanglewood Drive in Nashua was accused of assaulting a man known to her, according to Lt. Matthew DiFava of the Nashua Police Department.
"During the investigation, officers determined Malaviya assaulted the male with a pair of scissors and damaged some of his property," DiFava said. "The male sustained minor injuries."

Detectives furthered the case, he said, and she was eventually charged with felony second-degree assault-domestic violence, criminal mischief, and two domestic violence-simple assault charges.
DiFava said Malaviya was held on preventative detention and will be arraigned in superior court Tuesday. She faces up to 10.5 years in prison plus fines if convicted.
