Police later arrested 39-year-old Derrick Couture on arson and related felony charges after a search that extended into Tyngsborough, and they're still asking anyone with information to contact Nashua detectives.

Nashua Police Net 4 More In August Via Department's Substance Abuse Reduction Initiative (patch.com) — Nashua police recently arrested four people on drug-related and motor vehicle charges during August sweeps tied to the department's Substance Abuse Reduction Initiative. Coaches from both sides praised their young squads, as South eyes an October playoff push and North looks to rebound during a road-heavy schedule.

Two NH bridges face closures in two days following inspections (wmur.com) — Drivers traveling between Nashua and Hudson face a right-lane closure on the Veterans Memorial Bridge after an inspection raised concerns, with no reopening date yet. At the same time, Manchester's Queen City Bridge is fully closed for safety checks, underscoring broader worries about aging New Hampshire bridge infrastructure that could affect Nashua commuters' routes and travel times.
