Nashua Police Net 4 More In August Via Department’s Substance Abuse Reduction Initiative

NASHUA, NH — During sweeps in the first week of August and on Aug. 31, police in Nashua arrested four people on various charges.

Sgt. John Cinelli, the public information officer and communications division supervisor for the Nashua Police Department, said members of the department’s Narcotics Intelligence Division and Problem Oriented Policing Unit were involved in the arrests.

The first week of August, police arrested Shane Hirth, 36, on felony habitual offender and transporting drugs in a motor vehicle. He was released on personal recognizance. Also arrested was Miguel Letourneaut, 37, on acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-methamphetamine, a felony, and deal-possess prescription drugs charges. He was held pending arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.

On Aug. 31, police arrested two more people.

Fernando Alvarez, 38, was charged with acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-crack cocaine-subsequent offense, a felony. He was held on $200 cash bail. Also arrested was Ashlee Fisher, 28, on a felony acts prohibited; possession of a controlled drug-crack cocaine. She was held pending arraignment at Hills South.

Cinelli said residents are urged to call the department’s narcotics hotline at 603-594-3597 or the website to report any illegal drug activity. Information about any suspects in these cases can be reported to the department’s crime line at 603-589-1665.
