Boston Artist's Work At Great Bay Community College
Sasja Lucas, the curator of the Menino Arts Center in Hyde Park, has drawings and prints on display at the school through May 8.
PORTSMOUTH, NH — A Boston artist will have works on display at The Gateway Gallery at Great Bay Community College through May. Sasja Lucas's display, entitled "In Flux," features drawings and prints. She is the curator of the Menino Arts Center in Hyde Park and also specializes in printmaking, murals, set design and multimedia performance.
"My work is evidence of an act of discovery which occurs through the process of creating," she said. "The process itself is the driving force, as opposed to a method that is informed by a predetermined result."
A free reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 12 at the gallery space located at 320 Corporate Drive in Portsmouth. Refreshments will be provided by the Green Bean Restaurant.
