Caller: Man Tried to Take Upskirt Photo of My Girlfriend

The following are excerpts from the Portsmouth police log. A charge does not indicate a conviction.

Tue., Oct. 8

  • 8:45 a.m. A caller said a man in his 60s tried to steal oatmeal from a store. He was unsuccessful and fled on foot.
  • 12:37 p.m. A caller said a raccoon was on a porch. The animal was moved along.
  • 12:51 p.m. Robert Patrick Chase, 27, of 229 Raleigh Way, Portsmouth, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property.
  • 2:26 p.m. A caller said a man may have tried to take an upskirt photo of his girlfriend on Lafayette Road.
  • 11:06 p.m. Authorities responded to Lafayette Road for a man who passed out after huffing a spray can.
