Lezcano will also present one of his own compositions for guitar and strings, Mojito y Habano, in its premiere performance.
Twice Grammy-nominated composer and guitarist José Manuel Lezcano has composed many works for solo guitar, guitar in chamber ensembles, and concertos for solo guitar and guitar with wind instruments. His work has been performed and/or recorded by leading musicians and he has performed his solo concerti with orchestras all over the world. Lezcano serves as Professor of Music at Keene State College where he coordinates the guitar program, conducts the Keene State College Guitar Orchestra and Latin American Ensemble, and teaches a thriving studio of talented young guitarists.
