Mississippi Fugitive Flagged by Customs, Arrested

Portsmouth Police Log: Woman arrested on warrant, kids reportedly fighting, and fence damaged on Islington Street.

Richard Davenport, 27, of Ridge Street in West Point, MS, was arrested at 9:41 a.m. on Nov. 22, 2015, as a fugitive from justice. Police were sent to Airline Avenue to meet with customs that had a person in custody that had an extraditable warrant. Police went to the location and took Davenport. According to the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office, he was wanted four counts of fraudulent use of an ID.

Judith Pesarik, 56, of an unknown address in Portsmouth, was arrested at 8:54 a.m. on Nov. 25, on a warrant. Police were sent to Andrew Jarvis Drive to assist Rockingham County Sheriffs with a call. “The driver almost hit an officer on a detail,” the report alleged. “She then almost hit (an officer) head on.” Pesarik was later arrested.

Police were sent to Woodbury Avenue at around 7:31 p.m. on Nov. 25, for a report of a fight between a few kids. One of them had a bat. Some went into a small red truck while another was in a trailer.

Officers were sent to Islington Street for a report of damage to a fence at around 12:03 a.m. on Nov. 28. A neighbor reported a white pickup truck “racing around the area” and that that vehicle may have done the damage.
